What‘s on in Iceland February and March – Food and Fun and much more!

There are four major events in February and March in Reykjavík. Food and Fun, Winter Lights Festival, Design March, Reykjavik Fashion Festival and EVE online Fanfest.

 

We start off with the Winter Lights Festival which is just around the corner. The highlight of the festival is museum night on 12 February when museums are open longer and all sorts of fun events are scheduled all around Reykjavik. The schedule can be found here.

 

 

This year there are 17 participating restaurants at the Food and Fun festival. A foreign master chef takes over the kitchen of each of the restaurants and YOU get to try some of the delicious food served. The chefs are all competing for the „Food and Fun Chef of the Year“ award so you know the dishes they serve are going to be extra special.

 

 

Design March holds its 4th annual event this year, an event that is fast becoming one of the biggest events in design in Iceland. This year the designers which are confirmed for Design March are a nice mix of local and international talent.

 

 

 

 

 

Following Design March is Reykjavik Fashion Festival and at this event the spotlight is on fashion designers. The lineup this year is a mix of known Icelandic and international designers. Icelanders are known for their creativity and RFF shows that creativity in fashion. Numerous concerts and small events are scheduled during the festival and the streets of Reykjavik become full of trendy people checking out the new hot designers.

 

 

The festival for the players of the CCP game EVE online is going to be held at the new Harpa concert hall in Reykjavik. The events scheduled are great as usual where highlights include the PvP Tournament and The Party at the Top of the World.
